Exceeding Your Expectations
STUDENT VISA
Studying in Australia offers a unique way to experience Australian life, whilst gaining access to Australia’s world-class education system including top-ranking universities, practical vocational colleges and outstanding English language schools to support international students.
If you are looking to stay in Australia for an extended period of time, an Australian Student Visa may also lead to permanent residence.
VISITORS
Australia’s Visitor visa program may allow individuals (and families) to enter the country for short term stays for tourism or business visitor purposes. Broadly speaking, tourism purposes include holidays, recreation and seeing family and or friends whereas Business visitor activities may include attending a conference, negotiation or an exploratory business visit.
FAMILY VISAS
Australia’s Family visas are temporary and permanent visas which allow partners, parents, children, parents and other relatives of Australian citizens, permanent residents, and eligible New Zealand citizens, to obtain visas in Australia. These visas may also allow the holder to access medicare and work in Australia, and eventually, citizenship.
RESIDENT RETURN VISAÂ (RRV)
Once you have been granted a permanent visa it has an initial five year validity period. This validity period is essentially a travel facility. If you remain in Australia beyond the five years, your permanent residence does not expire, only your ability to depart and then re-enter Australia as a permanent resident is affected. But if you must leave, you must have a valid RRV to be able to return to Australia.
AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP
Becoming a citizen of Australia is the final legal step in your migration story. It is a process in which a non-Australian citizen voluntarily becomes an Australian citizen. Australian citizens pledge their loyalty to Australia and its people and are then entitled to its protection and to exercise their rights and responsibilities as citizens. You can become a citizen of Australia in different ways with each pathway having a distinct set of eligibility. Conferral and descent are the most common ways to apply.
